I checked some of our computers and found:
1. Circulation desk for Patron MilCirc checkin/checkout - 1.99Ghz w
512Meg Ram
2. Circulation desk for Patron MilCirc checkin/checkout - 930Mhz [ie
0.9Ghz] w 512Meg Ram
3. Workstation used for MilCirc and other duties - 1.6Ghz w 256Meg Ram.
4. My Laptop used for MilAdmin, Create lists, Dreamweaver - 1.6Ghz w
2G Ram This computer was slow but much better after upgrading Ram.
5. Staff MilCirc, word processing, etc - 1.86Ghz w 960Meg Ram
Computer #3 is objectionably slow if trying to do multitasking but is
acceptable for single use MilCirc duties checkin/checkout, overrides, etc.
All of the others are doing fine.

I wonder if any library is running Mil clients on machines that are slower
than the 3.0 GHz? Our Technical Services are running on 2.4 GHz machines
with 1GB memory. My worry is that upgrading the memory to 2 GB will not
help. Your feedback on the performance is greatly appreciated.
