Sara,
>From the Opac, you won't be able to export the data in MARC. I don't believe III makes that available as an option (though I could be wrong -- I've just never seen it on a III catalog). However, if you are in Corvallis (or can find some time to get down to Eugene), I can show you (or Bob) how to use MarcEdit to export records from your catalog. I do it all the time when I want to test CJK conversions. :)

Subject: [IUG] Exporting CJK records from Web OPAC
Our Asian bibliographer will be teaching a Chinese bibliography class.
He would like to show students how they can export CJK records from our
catalog and retain the fields in Chinese. Does anyone know if this is
possible?
The export options of full or brief display, procite or endnote don't
include the MARC fields with the vernacular characters. The MARC option
exports the code for the characters rather than the Chinese characters.
thanks, Sara
