This is a wierd one. It does work in some circumstances,
e.g.:

(cats and not tigers) or dogs - OK
(dogs or cats) and not tigers - FAIL
not tigers and (cats or dogs) - FAIL
not tigers or cats - OK (but why would you do it)

Subject: [IUG] Keyword search using "OR" and "AND NOT"

In our keyword search, we are unable to use "OR" and "AND NOT" in the same search. Even though there are titles that satisfy the search, we always get "No entries found". For example, (jump or leap) and not (cat). I checked several III libraries and found that some got results and some got "No entries found".

Any thoughts?

Carol
