I also have a Dell laptop. Some of their video cards have a power control
problem. The solution for mine was to hold down the function key and F8 and
press the up cursor button 10 times.

Does this only happen when Milli is running?

Subject: [IUG] Problem with using dual monitors, a laptop, and Millennium

This is from a staff member here at Baylor University:

"I have a dual monitor setup (Dell laptop computer), and have been
having problems with my second monitor blacking out. Usually this
happens when I open Millennium up or have it open with another program
like Microsoft Excel or our online catalog. Also I have a computer dock
tray for my hard drive (laptop), and most of the time when I redock my
computer I have to restart my computer because if I don't usually my
second monitor will black out. I have not been able to pinpoint what is
causing this. What I do know is my second monitor has been replaced
three times without any success, and my refresher rate for each monitor
was increased to the maximum without any success either. If anyone has
had problems like this, I would love to hear how you resolved them."

We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced a similar
problem.

Thanks,
Denyse
