WE can see that type of data in our copy of Banner on the screen
SOAIDNS. If you have access to Banner,
try typing that screen name in the GO TO Box on the menu (There's also a
return to menu choice on the File
drop down menu).

Under the heading "Curricula Summary" are (amongst other things):
Student Type: Level (always Undergraduate for us) Campus
(We have several)
Rate: College (always "not specified" for us) Degree:
(We award associate in Arts or Science)

If he could find the fields that populate that screen, I think they
could make the distinctions you need.
It might not cover Distance students (we don't get a separate list of
them) but that could probably be
done from grabbing names based on Web, Telecourse sections and other
Distance Ed sections.

Subject: [IUG] Banner implementation

Folks,

It's the 11th hour. Spring semester starts Tuesday. We are in the
midst of a Banner migration and our IT folks are reinventing the
wheel for getting patron data out of Banner for us. I know this
thread came up before and I have contacted a few folks directly. I
appreciate the help I have gotten, but so far the programmer assigned
to this project hasn't been able to utilized what I have shared from
my colleagues. His expertise is MySql. So if there are any more of
you out there that are Banner sites and have solved getting patron
data out without the need to further massage the data before loading
it into III, please contact me.

One problem is that they are unable to differentiate patrons to the
same degree we do. For some reason they can' t make distinctions
between undergraduate students, graduate students, law students,
distance students etc.

SOS

Karen
