Contact helpdesk. They have been able to customize which fields we see in the Millennium browse window and also in the record summary view for various Millennium modules. They can control which fields appear and in what order. However, there are a few limits. For example, only one field can appear on a line. So we couldn't have location and call number side-by-side, which would save a lot of space. Also, variable fields are controlled by tag groups, so to get some fields in that group you have to include them all.

In MilSer, the custom display appears in checkin mode, but reverts to the default display when you are running the claiming cycle (where it would also be useful). And I had to call back to specially request that the custom format apply to the binding slip cycle and check-in bound.

For what its worth, our custom display across all modules but circ is:

Call # (c)
Author (a)
Title (t)
Edition (e)
Imprint (p)
Series (s)
Description(r)
locations

Subject: Display of Bibliographic Data in Millennium Summary View of
Item

Hello:

A tab in Login Manager allows one to select fields for the Patron Display
in MilCIrc. I want to select fields for the display of bib data, within
the summary view of an item record (in MilCat as well as MilCirc in the
Search/Holds mode).

The only reference I can find in the manual is:

Page #101312 Display of Item Record with Partial Display of the
Bibliographic Record to Which It Is Linked

This deals with an Innopac display, rather than Millennium, and it does'nt
really provide any information about selecting the bib fields to be
displayed. It just gives an example of the screen display in the
text-based system.

Is this a user controlled option, in Millennium, or should I contact the
Help Desk?
