We've not had any trouble with loading EBSCO invoices in Millennium with the exception of one EBSCO invoice that hung the posting because the data format had an error in it. Innovative corrected the problem the same day. We've been using the Millennium Import Invoice feature since we upgraded in July for both EBSCO serials and BNA approval invoices

We've had failure ourselves, experiencing the exact same condition
you've described. I opened a call with III about it, but have yet to
receive any information in return. I will note that even trying to
retrieve the invoice file from your PC results in the same condition
(the assumption here, of course, that you used another FTP method to
retrieve the file from EBSCO and placed it on your PC, then used the
"Browse" option to try to process the file instead of "FTP"--I thought
maybe this was the problem; it wasn't.)

What we ended up doing was performing all steps through and including
moving the invoices into the "Invoices awaiting acceptance" file in
character-based. We then performed the accept/reject and final
processing steps in Millennium, where everything worked just as it
should.

Because we're a newer EBSCO customer, processing our invoices
electronically for the first time, I thought it was just me--until it
happened three separate times. We used to process our Faxon invoices
electronically, but they went bankrupt before we could ever hope to
process their invoices in Millennium. It's good to know we're not
alone, especially considering the problems we had with the upgrade to
Silver (which is what I blame for any given problem until someone else
reports it!)

Subject: EBSCO electronic invoice in MilAcq

Has anyone had success or failure loading an EBSCO electronic invoice in

Millennium Acquisitions? My screen says it was successfully loaded, but

the drop down list of invoices doesn't show the invoice. All of the payfiles say 0 invoices. Then the Import function locks up and I have to

close MilAcq down. I ended up loading it in Telnet which worked just
fine.
