Robert et al,
Many thanks for writing in on this topic and responding.
The info. helped us finally fix some of our connections to our local manual.
Problem was the left frame Table of Contents would never load.
We were still often connecting to the csdirect version as an alternative.
We are at Phase2 running many Win98se PC's, mostly using I.E.
For us, the fix was the Java and Microsoft VM settings under Advanced.
thanks again,
John

Thanks for the help, but it does not work with Mozilla. Versions prior
to 1.4 do not have a control panel setting for it, and it will insist on
using the system default (i.e. the latest) JRE. So, 1.3.x will work
fine, but once 1.4.x is on the system it is used instead.
Also, there is something not in the FAQ about IE. If you install a JRE
you *must* allow it to be the default plugin in IE so that it is a
choice in options. Then, as the FAQ says, disable it. Else, you will
constantly get the notice about downloading the virtual machine.
