copy and paste in GuiCat

I haven't used Guicat often, but when I use it I feel so frustrated with its copy and paste function.

I tried to copy multiple variable fields from one record to another.  I selected (highlighted) the text and clicked the Copy tool from the Main toolbar, but could not paste the text to another record.

Any suggestions or tricks to perform this task in Guicat?
