The Innovative product is called Extended Approval Plan (produce code
409). It allows libraries to receive MARC records and invoice data (also
order data if they choose to) from vendors. OCLC PromptCat is one of the
methods of receiving MARC records but MARC records may be supplied from
other sources as well.
We have it but are not using it yet because the current version cannot
handle partial receipts of multiple copy orders. I believe this will
be corrected in Release 2002. I suspect more libraries are using this
product to receive MARC records rather than MARC records AND invoice data.
