The comments about PDAs are interesting and highlight some of the potential
advantages of using
PDAs with Innopac. When I heard a news story -a week before Christmas- about
a sales clerk in a posh department store who used a PDA to capture credit
card information from shoppers, it occurred to me that PDAs should be able
to replace hand-held scanners. It would certainly be much cheaper to equip a
PDA with a barcode reading device than to purchase a complete hand-held
scanner.
For those of you that are more savvy with PDAs: Can currently available PDAs
be equipped with barcode reading wands/guns?
