Subject: OCLC/win98 problem

Our library has been having a problem with the innopac not communicating
with the OCLC passport software after an export. This is occurring only
on Windows 98 machines. We just recently put in new machines with windows
98 on them. We loaded Passport as we have always done. When exporting a
record from OCLC to the innopac, the download works but the return message
giving vital overlay information, etc. does not show up. It works on our
windows 95 and windows NT machines.

OCLC says they know of no reason that it should not work on a windows 98
machine. We tried a different brand computer also with win 98 with the
same results. OCLC suggested checking this list to see if any other
innopac users have add similar problems exporting from OCLC to innopac on
a windows 98 platform.

So, if any of you have experienced this problem would you let me know and
how you resolved it (if you resolved it).

Thanks alot,

Larry
